Falling…

Although the fall change in season comes with a great excuse for some new fashions and some shopping, I have found myself most excited to re-wear and re-style some of my classic pieces that have been tucked away since last fall.

You know those favorite items, the ones that never go out of style? Those fabulous fashion finds that are the hardest to put away at the end of the season, yet oh so exciting to take out the next year?!

This fall I was most excited to breakout this buttery soft leather jacket. I admittedly have a weakness for leather jackets (always really great investment pieces, that just get better with age). For me this jacket embodies the feeling of fall and it’s just the right weight and warmth for crisp days. As the weather changes, the temperature can be unpredictable, so layering is essential.

This is one of my go to fall outfits, a caramel leather jacket layered over a sleeveless knit turtleneck sweater in cream, paired it with classic dark wash, skinny jeans and tan suede flat booties with tassels. To freshen it up I have re-styled it with new eyewear and accessories. The newest addition to my eyeglass wardrobe are these Fall 2017 new release frames by Tom Ford Eyewear. A new take on a classic, an aviator frame re- imagined as a semi rimless, bridge-less design.

This frame is a perfect example of the brow bar trend that has been at the prevalent through 2017 and I love that Tom Ford has allowed the brow bar to shine by removing the nasal bridge altogether.

Clothing is not the only thing I was looking forward to taking out of storage and re-wearing this season. There are certain glasses that I have in my collection that I tend to gravitate towards during certain seasons. These leopard print frames by Seraphin Eyewear are a frame that I tend to wear more during the fall. I find myself pairing them with the falls colours of warm marigolds, mustards, rusts, reds and earthy tones of fall.

DSC00617To switch it up and repeat this outfit in different ways, I coordinated my look with two very different eyewear looks, one light and minimal, the other bold and patterned. No fall look is complete without a great hat! I will get a lot of wear out of this felt, wide brim hat with a rose gold band this season.
